The NCSO has completed it's investigation of the area, and we have been cleared to lift the lockdown at all locations.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The safety and security of our students and staff are our highest priorities. I am writing to inform you that J.G. Johnson Elementary, Pahrump Valley High School (PVHS), Mt. Charleston Elementary, and Pathways Innovative Education have all been placed on a precautionary LOCKDOWN protocol at the request of the Nye County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).
The Sheriff’s Office requested this protocol while addressing an incident report. Please be assured that this situation is ongoing, but all students and staff are safe and secure inside their respective school buildings.
During a Lockdown procedure, regular classroom activities pause, all exterior and interior doors are locked, and hallway traffic is restricted so emergency response personnel can effectively manage the surrounding neighborhood. No entry or exit from any of the affected campuses is permitted at this time. Please do not attempt to travel to any of the school sites, as access is strictly restricted for everyone's safety.
We are in constant communication with law enforcement and will send an update as soon as the Sheriff's Office clears the area and lifts the protocol. Thank you for your patience, trust, and cooperation as we keep our schools safe.
Sincerely,
School Administration & District Leadership
