Learning Opportunity Prior To Our Snorkel
VEA has restored power at the district office in Pahrump. It will take between and 30-60 minutes to bring all systems back online for internet and phones.

Power Outage Update
VEA is estimating another 90 minutes to repair the power at the district office, which has taken out phones and internet at the schools. They found the source of the outage and have a crew on the way. Classes are proceeding mostly normally. There is no change to school schedules.

Parents and Guardians, If you would like alerts on your phone when we have a situation like today's Pahrump power outage, please download the NCSD app and turn on the notifications as pictures in the attached image. Links to the app are at the bottom of our webpage: https://www.nye.k12.nv.us/ You can specify which of our schools from which you want to receive alerts, and you can update those settings as your kids grow and change schools.

Alert: A power outage is affecting the district office in Pahrump. Because out this, no schools have internet, and most phone systems are affected. The schools have power, so instruction continues, and the school schedules are proceeding normally. Because of the AT&T outage, many of our employees cannot use Dojo to communicate to families, so please be patient.

Alert: Internet & Phone Outages
Golf practice will start on Monday, March 18th at Mt. Falls. That first week we will have practice at Mt. Falls. After that (M/W) practices will be at LakeView and (T/TH) practices will be at Mt. Falls. Practices will run Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:30 pm. Parents are responsible for drop off and pick up. Athletes must have a completed physical turned in and all documents on Register My Athlete (Aktivate) completed before the first practice.

Track practice will start Tuesday, March 19th. Practices will run Monday-Thursday from 2:15-4:30 pm. Athletes may stay after school and attend SAFE. Athletes must have a completed physical turned in and have all documents on Register My Athlete (Aktivate) completed in order to stay for the first practice.

RCMS Parents and Guardians, please be aware that students reported another student made a threat of bringing a firearm tomorrow. We were notified after school released. We immediately contacted NCSO School Resource Officer, and he took immediate action. There is no threat to the school tomorrow. Your students and their safety is our highest priority. Thank you to the students who reported. Please tell your students to always report anything suspicious. We will always take every report with the utmost seriousness.
